For the first time in 7 years we were unable to celebrate the year together in the way we normally do – a big party. Instead we had to announce our 2020 award winners over Facebook live. Whilst it wasn’t the same we felt it was still important to honour the hard work of the gymnasts and coaches they had done in 2020. Many members of the club had gone above and beyond to keep spirits high throughout the year.
We honoured the gymnasts who represented the club at a regional level, those who should have competed for the club at a national level and finally the two gymnasts who were set to represent the club at an international level for the first time.
We followed this with our main awards:
Highest time bouncers: U5 winner – Parker, U8 winner – Eyvie, U11 winner – Alanna, U14 winner – Jemma, U17 winner – Will and O17 winner – George
Highest form scores: Trampoline U11’s winner – Alanna, O11’s winner – Jack and DMT winner – Tegan
Performers Choice – Kim
Most Improved Gymnasts: General Gymnastics winner – Cara, DMT winner – Dan S, Trampoline Club level winner – Phoebe, regional level winner – Elly and national level winner – Aidan
