A Christmas competition in June, throughout 2020 we were all hoping to run our annual Christmas competition but due to the lockdown in October/November unfortunately it wasn’t meant to be. All the gymnasts were looking forward to the competition and had their t-shirts ready so we rearranged and celebrated Christmas in June 2021 instead.
It was a lovely afternoon, a chance for the gymnasts to compete again albeit in a very different circumstances, the gymnasts couldn’t sit and celebrate the afternoon together, instead they came in and out of the competition in small groups and remained socially distance throughout. But that didn’t stop the team spirit of our Christmas competition – as always the gymnasts supported each other like they always do.
And although we couldn’t have parents in with us, it was lovely to set up the live stream and have parents supporting us at home or whilst sat waiting in their cars.
Team Comet were crowned the winners for 2021, congratulations to them and their Captain Beky.
