British Championships 2019 was held at Arena Birmingham on the 28th and 29th September. This year we took four gymnasts to the competition.
All four gymnasts competed on day 1, Jemma was up first with two great routines putting herself safely inside the top 8 and onto day 2. Will competed next, after a shaky first routine he successfully completed his second finishing inside the top 8 and through to Sunday. George also finished inside the top 8 and through to Sunday. Dan was up last in the individual competition unfortunately it wasn’t his day but we know he will come back stronger next year.
Jemma, competed again on the Saturday in the synchronised event with her partner from City of Liverpool. She finished the day as British Synchro Champion with Lota. Both girls have worked really hard travelling up and down the country to practice together! 💜
On to Sunday, Jemma was up first and after a strong final of 8 girls she successfully brought home the bronze medal in the 11-12 girls. 💜
Will competed next, going into the final in 7th, unfortunately Will didn’t have the best day but kept his position in 7th place. A fantastic result for his first British Championships.
George was last to compete on the Sunday and after a great routine he finished in 5th place, another great result for his first British Championhsips.
A special mention to one of our coaches Becky who volunteered her time at British Championships!
We are super proud of everyone involved in British Championships. Bring on 2020.
